Do you mean pledging your HDB to CPF for cash amount? or do you mean HDB lease buyback scheme? For the latter, I am afraid you are still unable to do so. For pledging of HDB to CPF, it is best to speak to CPF directly as there isn't much details on what can be done except for 1 link at https://mystocksinvesting.com/cpf/retirement-account-ra/pledging-our-property-to-cpf-retirement-account-ra/ which indicates that "Anyone who owns a property can pledge up to his share of the residual value of the property. The property needs to have more than 30 years of remaining lease and must not be a 2-room flexi or lease buyback scheme flat. A maximum of $83,000 can be pledged out of the minimum sum of $166,000 (Basic Retirement Sum)."

Hi,

1) I assume you are referring to pledging your flat to the CPF board so as to relieve your BRS or FRS.
2) I'm afraid you are not eligible for that yet. You can only do the pledging at 65 yrs old or above.
3) Whereas the other way is to join the lease buy-back scheme.
4) However, this scheme also required you to reach 65 yrs old or above before being eligible to do so.
5) So currently in order to cash out from the flat is to sell it and downgrade to a smaller flat.

From my understanding, you can pledge your flat from age 55 onwards, provided you maintain sufficient funds for your basic retirement account (should be $88,000). Generally with CPF board approval, you can pledge your flat and cash out any amount in excess of $88,000.
