Morning Aussie,

Upon fulfilling your MOP, you are allowed to purchase second or even third property. You are not required to stay in your HDB unit as you can apply from HDB to rent it out while you stay in your private property.

If I am not, you mean that after fulfilling the MOP of 5 years, do you need to stay in the HDB flat after a private property purchase?

Answer is no. You can either rent the HDB out and stay in the private property. No obligations to where should you stay.
