Hi,

You are not required to sell off your HDB yet when you apply for HFE. Only need to sell within 6 months of key collection to your next HDB.

Yes u can apply for a HFE (after u complete your 5-year MOP)

You need not sell your resale hdb first.

If you have sufficient financing (loan + cpf + cash) you can purchase your hdb first (before you sell)

You are not required to sell your existing HDB in order to apply for HFE, you can always apply for HFE first and have it approved, plan out your finances according to your purchase before you take the next step. If you have sufficient finance to complete your purchase first, this will be the most ideal situation since you will not need to be in a position of rush to sell your current HDB.

Hi,

1) You shall be able to apply for an HFE once you have completed your MOP.
2) There is no requirement to sell before applying.
3) There is no ABSD incurred when you transit from an HDB to another HDB flat, thus don't have to worry about the additional cost.
4) But you should be reminded that an HDB loan can only cover a maximum of 80% of the purchase price.
5) Thus you must prepare the 20% downpayment, buyer stamp duty, and legal fees incurred in the purchase before selling your flat.
6) The payment stages for a BTO/SBF are different from a resale purchase.
7) It is recommended you look into the financial portion when browsing the HDB web to understand more.
