Do I have to pay the levy and max 50% of the cash proceed in advance to HDB upon selling my current flat this year? My new HDB flat will be ready only in 1-2 years time.

Morning,

If your current unit is also a subsidized unit using HDB loan, you need to pay the levy and 50% cash out front but not upon the completion of your sales. Do note that you are required to keep this amount as it's an essential payment. Alternatively, you can call HDB to request for further assistance special arrangements.
