Dear Sir/mdm, we intend to buy a HDB unit but the seller agent let us to sign a Letter of Indemnity for Extension Stay for a 3 months after Completion but we are unable to let the seller to stay further after completion as we need the unit urgently also, can we refuse to sign the letter? Appreciate your kind reply asap.

Hi,

1) Buying and selling needs both buyer and seller agreed on the terms not only on the OTP but can be other conditions as well.
2) If you need the unit urgently it is advisable for you not to agree to this extension.
3) You will have to look for another unit that meets your objective.
4) Not all units put up to sale require this extension.
