Hi Mr. Koh,

The restrictions that your friend is referring to are mainly applicable to Work Permit holders. Work Permit holders who are renting a whole HDB flat from Construction, Marine and Process and Manufacturing sectors must be Malaysians.

You can also rent out to SC / SPRs / EP and SPass holders, regardless of their sectors. Hence the tenant pool is still quite large, and you should be able to find a decent tenant profile still. The only main concern should be declining rentals and competition within the vicinity.
