Dear Property Guru, I am a Sporean who is getting married to a Foreigner(not a SG PR yet).We are sourcing for a house. I understand that we are eligible for a resale flat in the open market. We would like to have some advice on the grant that we can get, the procedure and down payment that we need so that we could calculate on our budget. thanks

Morning,

Depending on the status of your spouse, you may not be able to purchase a HDB unit. Under the current ruling, HDB units are only opened to Singaporean, SPR or Spouse who are on Social Visit Pass.
If your partner happens to be on EP or WP, I'm afraid you have to shelf the plan aside.

Recently my client bought a condo while 'holding on' to a HDB flat. They need the 'funds' for the condo and hence, has to sell the HDB unit.
