Dear Gurus, I would like to ask if the minimum occupation period of 5 years apply if my name was included as a co-owner in 2012 to help my parents with their flat's loan instalment? This is because I intend to sublet the entire flat. Any advise appreciated.

Morning McVin,

When they added your name in as the co-owner, HDB would have updated the documentation. Hence your MOP would be reset to the date you added in your name as the co-owner. Hence you might not be eligible to rent out the entire unit unless HDB have given you approval on that.
