As stated in some business reports, unless the government closes the door to the world or implement drastic measures, it's very hard for property prices to fall. This is especially so to a developed country with limited land resource, well maintained infrastructure and stable economy.

I'm not sure why 1st July is an issue as the ruling stated in the latest cooling measures was long active just that now, they make it public.

Hi Catherine,

As of today's Straits Times, COVs for 1st quarter has dropped across the island, while prices are still inching upwards as a whole.

As a HDB home owner, I believe your concerns would be your long term plans if you were to be returning to Singapore for good but does not have a place to stay and need to purchase by then, which we do not know what is holding in the future.

The current sentiments are mixed and while many are rushing to sell, overall transacted volume are not as encouraging.
