Dear Gurus, I am looking to buy a private property with my wife. However, we are currently servicing a HDB loan and thus are eligible only for a loan of 60% of the property value from the banks. We are wondering if we could raise the loan quantum to 80% if we buy the new property under our parents’ name? We will service the loan of cause. Thanks in advance.

Hi Roger,
You can put under your parent's name and act as guarantor but bank will also need to assess whether they can grant your 80% . Probably you can contact me I recommend a good banker that can give you more advices too.
