Dear Guru,
Sometime back in feb 2010, I've managed to agree with a seller agent with price x (which is about 10% lower than the market asking). To protect my buyer interest, i appoint a friend of mine (Mr. X) as my buyer agent for this unit. Unfortunately, Mr X is away from Singapore and he asked his partner Mr Y to prepare the option and collected cheque from me after varifying the owner details with the Seller agent.
However, on the second day, Mr Y informed me that the unit wes sold to someone else with higher price.
Not until yesterday, when I just checking out on recent transaction, I notice a transaction done with the same amount of Price & sqf in the same condo project lodged on Mar 2010.
I suspect there is something fishy and wonder is there anything that I can do to checkout the transaction details. Also, can I take any action if that turn out to be true? Thanks for helping in advise.

Hi, I can help you to check if the caveat is the same unit that you intended to buy. However, nothing can be done because the seller did not issue you with an OTP, which is the written agreement. A verbal agreement to sell you the unit is not enough.
