Dear experts, hope someone can address my queries.

2005-2010 - Bought a BTO flat wif my ex wife, sold already.
2010-2016 - Owned a 4-room Resale HDB under single scheme.

Looking forward, I have intended to downgrade to a 3-room Resale HDB, keeping my loan repayment short.

Questions: Am i still eligible to purchase a HDB resale flat under these circumstances?

Evening,

You will definitely be eligible to downgrade to 3 room HDB unit. The only question is that are you still eligible for HDB loan or do you need to utilize bank loan.

Hi,

Yes since you have met MOP of 5 years, you can right-size and purchase resale HDB again, there's no limit to the number of times of resale hdb you can purchase in a lifetime, just that you can't hold 2 hdb at any one point in time. The only issue is whether you can take another hdb loan.

You can have the following 3 options:

1) Sell your current HDB, then Buy your next resale flat.

2) Buy your resale flat, and then Sell your current HDB flat within 6 months completion of the purchase.

3) Do both Selling and Buying concurrently, with proper timeline planning.
