Dear all, I have recently applied for a 4 room in the Jan BTO launch (punggol) as a first timer. My fiancee has worked for the past 1.5 years while I am finishing my degree in May before starting work. However, our HLE application was turned down due to 'credit worthiness'. Will like to find out if there is any chance an appeal to HDB regarding this rejection will be of any use? Or if not, is there any other way we can seek alternate financing. (I understand that if HLE is rejected, there is little chance of banks approving a housing loan?)

Afternoon Loke,

Yes, you are right. If your HLE have being rejected, it's very unlikely that Bank will grant you any mortgage loan, unless you have personal guarantor or are looking at very much lower loan quantum.
