I am a 32 years old Singaporean.

Can I buy a resale HDB flat under my own name and parents, although my fiancee already has a condo?

When we get married, does she need to sell her condo because I have bought the resale HDB flat, with my parents?

Hi Mr. Welly,

She need not sell away her condo if she has already bought it before you all registered your marriage. However, if you intend to include her name into the HDB, she is required to dispose the condo within 6 months. Yes you can buy resale HDB with your parents no issue, but do note your parents have to sell away their current flat within 6 months.

Good morning,

Firstly, when you opt to purchase the resale HDB unit with your parents, do note that they will be required to sell off their residential property within 6 months from key collection, if they have any on hand.
Secondly, as long as the purchase of the HDB unit is done before getting registered at ROM and that you do not add your partner's name into the HDB unit as essential occupier or co-owner, she will not be required to sell off her current property.
Lastly, you can only utilize your CPF OA or your parent's CPF OA for the purchase on the HDB resale unit. Your partner should not have any contribution from her CPF into your HDB unit.

Hi Welly,

You can purchase a HDB resale with your parents under the Public Scheme. However, they will be required to sell off their existing properties within 6 months upon the purchase.

Also, your fiancee need not sell off her private condo when she marries you.
