Dear all,

Hi, my sister is singaporean, and she is single and 35 years old. She is getting a resale flat soon. and actually she getting the resale flat for me and my wife 1st while we still waiting for our eligibility after 3 years.

And so, what are the complication or procedure if after 3 years, my wife and I want to buy over my sister resale flat ( change ownership)

What can I do to change the ownership?

Afternoon,

If your sister is buying the resale unit under single scheme, she will be required to fulfill the MOP of 5 years before she cal sell it you you and your spouse. Hence that might not be quite suitable given the timeline difference.

Hi,

The MOP would be 5 years after her purchase of the resale hdb. Which means, within 5 years, she cant purchase, rent out whole unit, sell the resale flat.
May need to check if she mind waiting for the 5 years MOP, or else, it might not be working for your plan.
