Dear All experts, I'd like to enquire before buying a HDB resale flat in Singapore, can 3 parties who are SPR indian buy togther for a resale flat? I am a buyer intend to buy a Resale HDB flat in the open market i.e. 4 room model or 5 room model flat. I am married with my wife also both are SPR from India. I understand we can buy together, there would be no issue. However, I would like to check the following as I would probably need to add in my own brother (who is also a spr married with a wife who is not a SPR) as the main Owner assist us for the CPF in ordinary account to chip in for the 15% downpayment for FInancing our HDB loan and financing the loan repayment. I have this doubts, Can I buy the Resale HDB flat with 3 parties together my wife and brother who is all 3 SPR? ALl 3 of us will be Owners to form a family nucleus under to finance the flat?? We did NOT own any private property at all. We would be very grateful if you can clear my doubts.Thanks. Mr Asshu

Morning Asshu,

For purchase of resale HDB unit, you have have up to 4 buyers. Firstly, standard family nucleus must be present, where you and your wife is the key. Adding your brother as 3rd owner is fine. Secondly, both you and your brother is required to present your birth certificate, to proof the relationship. Lastly, being PR, you are required to take bank loan.
