Assuming its past 5yrs MOP for your HDB
1) 1% option fee, 4-9% exercise fee with usually 14 days to exercise.
2) depending on other loans, age, and if you are still servicing HDB loan.
3) Legal fees, BSD, etc

Hi Zen,

1. Option fee is 1% of the purchase price, whereas exercise fee is 4% of the purchase price. Option period is usually 2-3 weeks as agreed with the owner.

2. If you have an outstanding loan for your HDB, you will only be eligible for 50% loan. However, if you have finished paying off your HDB, you will be eligible for 80% loan.

3. As it is your 2nd property, you will be liable for Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD) which is 7% of the purchase price. Other costs are Stamp Duty which is slightly less than 3% of the purchase price and legal fees which is about $3,000.
