Hi,

For SPR households, if they purchase private property, they will need to dispose their hdb within 6 months of key collection to condo. Yes there are older resale condos going around that pricing, would you be open to that? Thanks and hope to understand your plans and requirements further so to make better recommendations.

Good afternoon Joyceline,

I believe you will like to upgrade to a condo from HDB.

Because I am not sure whether are you aware that you have to dispose off your current HDB within 6 months from condo purchase completion date as both of you are SPRs.

For your information in order to keep HDB and purchase a condo, the household must has at least one Singaporean.

As for your purchase, you might have to increase your budget by abit if you are looking at 3 bedders in Hougang.

Based on your combined income (assuming no debts), you should be able to loan up to $1m on 25 years loan tenure. But nevertheless it will be best to let my banker advise you on your in principle approval (bank loan).

I personally reside and focus in Hougang, hope I will be of great help in your upgrading plans.

Hi Joycelin,

Your budget for a 3-bedroom condo is a little tight, but still possibly achievable.

However, I'd suggest that you market your HDB flat and shop for the next house at the same time, as selling might take longer right now.

Feel free to contact me at your convenience, and we can carry on from there.
