Could I sell my HDB flat in may 2014 if my Date Of Application was on 06 May 2009 and Date Of Purchase 27 Jul 2009? I believe when I start to look for potential buyers in May 2014, by July 2014 I am able to satisfy 5 year minimum occupation period. Is this alright? I read that the terms and conditions is that while under the 5 year minimum occupation period we are not suppose to be engaged in any form of selling agreement... but when could i actually start to sell my house? in may 2014 or in july 2014?

Dear Tulipsei,

Minimum Occupation Period starts from the day you took over possession of the unit, therefore it should be in July 2009 that it started. If you are thinking about selling, perhaps you may wish to start the process for valuation request and all in mid July 2014.

Morning,

I believe you have read your contract many times but missed out the line which states that MOP will be computated from the date of key collection.

Since your application date is in 2009, I would assume that you should be collecting the keys within 2013 to 2014. You will then have another 5 more years to fulfill.
