Is there a will from the deceased? Has the property been transferred?

    If the beneficiary is unable to retain the flat, then the property has to be sold within 6 months.
Hi,
Yes, as long as the TA is registered and also updated with HDB, the tenancy can continue. There is no issue. Do get the necessary paperwork done so that, when the time comes for renewal, the administrator or the person taking over the flat can do the changes, accordingly.

Hi ,

Can the lease (tenancy agreement) be still carry on after the owner pass away , the answer is Yes and No, (Single owner).
1) Write in to HDB Branch regards to the death of the owner & inform them regarding the Tenancy agreement . (Results ARE SUBJECT TO HDB) if they permit the tenancy agreement to be proceeded are base on case by case.

2) The lease of the tenancy will automatic Ends, Whenever the house is transfer to the Executor or Administrator . Base on the grand on probate judgement.

Normally the from start preparing documents to complete of transfer will estimate 20 to 28 weeks, if there is a WILL involve .
If there is NO WILL involve it may take up to 24-36 months to complete the transfer .

All the time-line above are estimated, if there is no-body petition against the beneficiary . if not it may take longer for the court to rule the GRAND OF PROBATE.
