Married couple have to purchase the hdb together, hence your name needs to be included in the purchase (be it owner or occupier), hence you are required to sell your current hdb away. Thanks and hope to assist further.

I am sorry to inform you that you cant do so. Married couple can only own an unit at any point of time. If you are keen to own two properties, probably your husband can opt for private property.
