Hi,

1) You are eligible to apply for an HFE once you have completed the MOP of your current flat. It is provided you did not enjoy a subsidized flat twice in your lifetime.
2) You may apply for the BTO without selling your current flat.
3) If you have utilized an HDB loan in the current flat, and intend to apply the 2nd HDB loan. You have to be aware that you are subject to the right-sizing policy.
4) It means that 50% of your cash proceeds from selling the current flat has to be utilized to pay for the 2nd flat.
5) You are to ensure you have sufficient funds to pay a 10% downpayment at the point of signing the agreement for lease, buyer stamp duty, and legal fees.
6) This signing of the agreement for lease will happen around 6~9 months from the booking of the flat.
7) You may then pay the remaining 10% upon key collection. So you have to plan to sell your flat if you need the funds for the key collection.
8) If you have taken a grant for the current flat, you are to pay a resale levy at the point of key collection. This amount must be paid in cash only.
