Can I sell my HDB and then rent a unit from hdb

Hi,
I don't think its possible unless you are able to show financial hardship after the sale and even then its subject to hdb approval. If you are singaporean you can consider to rent out the whole unit and rent another, if the MOP of 5 years has been fulfilled.

Hi Sir/Mdm,
To rent directly from HDB, you must be able to provide supporting documents to justify that you are in financial hardship. If you sell your HDB flat and it is a profitable sale, it will be hard to justify to HDB why you need to rent from HDB as compared to renting in the open market.
