Hi Sir/Mdm,

Yes it is possible to get a loan but it depends on factors such as your age and income. If your plan is to sell your EA and buy the smaller flat at the same time, it is possible to plan and time the sale and purchase such that you are able to use the sale proceeds from the EA to finance the purchase so that no loan is required.

I have assisted many of my clients to plan such that they do not have to take a loan and also be able to transit smoothly and seamlessly from current place to the new place without a need for an interim place to stay and also some buffer time for renovation.

Hi Sir/Mdm,

Yes it is possible to apply a loan if you are still getting employment income, and it also depends on your age and your credit profile as well.

It is also possible to time your sale & purchase concurrently such that the sale proceeds from the EA come back in time to complete the purchase, and you need not take up any loan. We can also request extension of stay from your EA buyer so you have time to reno your next smaller flat, so you can transit smoothly.
