Can I buy an HDB resale flat while having ownership of a property overseas? I'm planning on moving back to Singapore but I'm wondering if I can keep that overseas property.

You will be required to dispose your overseas property within 6 months of acquiring the resale HDB if the property is a residential one.

1) HDB flat is meant for own stay and not for investment. Thus they try to be fair to all those who are eligible to dispose of their current property whether for their own stay or investment. So that everyone starts on the same starting line.
2) You may only dispose of your current property (local or overseas) within 6 months upon completion of the sales; i.e. collect the key.
