Hi,

Technically, only SC HDB owner can only buy private property after meeting the MOP.

SPR cannot hold onto HDB & private property at the same time irregardless of MOP.

MOP period starts counting again from the date you took over, as there was a scheme changes; from Public or fiance/fiancee scheme to Single SC scheme.

Since you have taken over the unit from your co-owner, the MOP will be refreshed. Therefore you have to wait for 5 years before you are eligible to purchase your second property.

In your case, you will need to fulfill a fresh 5-year MOP period before you can look to purchase a second residential property.

However, there is no such restriction for commercial properties, and you are allow to purchase these properties.
