Hi,

Sadly you can’t back off and you could be sued by the buyer.

Dear sir/madam,

By granting the Purchasers the Option To Purchase, the Vendors have technically entered into a legal binding situation to sell to the Purchasers within the option period. They are not allowed to back off and like what Aaron has mentioned, the Purchasers can seek damages from the Vendors and enforce their legal rights to the situation.

Nevertheless, from personal opinion, I'd like to think that in purchasing a family home should be a happy scenario and if you require to go down the legal channel in order to enforce on your purchase, I'd rather give it a miss and look for alternative which I feel happier going into the purchase agreement. This may differ from your perspective though therefore should you require professional opinion, you should speak to your lawyer to find out what can be done.

Warmest regards,

Hi
Unlike the buyer, a seller could not back off from the contract after the OTP has been issued. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this,
