Evening,

You can purchase resale unit under non-citizen spouse scheme. However, you will be required to fulfill the 5 years MOP requirement after key collection to the unit. Alternatively, you can apply for special approval to rent out unit, providing the necessary documents. This is then subjected to approval.

Yes its possible under the non-citizen spouse scheme, but the foreigner spouse should have some form of valid pass of at least 6 months in Singapore. Thanks and hope to assist further.

Hi Mdm Ng, being a citizen, you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB unit with your foreign spouse under Non Citizen Spouse Scheme. But if you are thinking of getting a loan from the bank, pls note that the borrower could only be yourself being a local.

Good morning Pey Fung,

You are eligible to purchase a resale HDB with your spouse under non citizen spouse scheme. But you have to fulfil the conditions to qualify.

Do take note that you have to fulfil minimum occupation of 5 years first before you can sell or rent out the whole unit. Even for room rental, owner/s must physically stay in the unit in order to do so.

Exception will be granted if you obtain permission from HDB to do so.
