Both myself and child are SC living in Singapore. My spouse is a foreigner who owns an oversea property and lives overseas without intention to come to Singapore. Can we buy a HDB flat - resale or new, under which scheme? Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately, you are not elegise to buy an HDB flat as your spouse currently has an overseas property.

If you wish to apply under the Public Scheme with your child, your spouse must be listed as an occupier and must dispose of his property overseas.

Hi,

I’m sorry you can’t as you are already married and thus your spouse’s name would be required on the contract upon the purchase of a HDB flat.

Hi,

You are not eligible to apply for BTO flat as your spouse owns an overseas property.

You are however eligible to purchase a resale HDB flat. Do take note that your spouse will have to dispose off his/her overseas property latest within 6 months upon the HDB resale flat purchase.

If your spouse do not wish to dispose off his/her overseas property, then you can only consider private housing in Singapore.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.
