Both my husband and i are Malaysian ( PR singapore), we are considering whether to buy HDB flat or buy private property at this moment. understand that if we buy HDB then within 5 yrs time we cannot buy private house/property. But we are thinking of buying 2 or 3 property in singapore for investment purpose (must be good rental yield), what are Guru suggestion ?

Morning Ms. Lee,

If you are thinking of purchasing multiple property at one go, then your definite option will be private property. There's no restriction as to how much property you can buy. The major concern might be the ABSD, loan quantum and sector of tenants you are targeting at.

If you are looking at purchase of property on staggered timing, you might want to look at HDB first. Cheaper, good appreciation value and rental demand. The down side is that you are required to fulfill 5 year MOP, prior to purchase of your 2nd and 3rd property.
