An agent told me that, for EC resale, a single under 35 years , can purchase, even though there is no family nucleus. Is he correct? I am under the impression, all HDB or EC , buyer has to be family nucleus. Any one care to elaborate?

Hi KF,

A resale EC is considered a private property, where the restriction is only for foreigners to be eligible to purchase after 10years, therefore the agent which has mentioned this to you is right.

Hi Chin,

EC after 5 yrs is considered as privatised, so under age 35 yrs, you are eligible to buy resale EC. For new EC, you cannot buy.
