Am I eligible to apply for a new EC, if the EC TOP date is after my BTO's MOP? Example: if my BTO's MOP is Q4 2025, then from now 2021 until then, can I apply for any new EC that will only be ready after Q4 2025?
I want to apply for an EC bearing in mind the time it takes to be built. What is the best way I should do this?

Hi,

1) You may only apply for a new EC upon meeting your BTO MOP.
2) There is a deferred payment scheme only available for EC, it is because most of the upgraders from the HDB flat to the new EC need the sales proceed to pay for the purchase.
3) Although this helps in upgrading, you still have to prepare at least the downpayment in order to do so, which is 20% of the purchase price.
4) 5% must be cash, 15% cash, and/or CPF. The rest of the installment shall only pay upon selling your HDB flat upon EC TOP. So that you don't have to manage 2 mortgages at the same time.
