as for Landed property how much down payment am i looking at ? is it the same ?
Landed / Cond / EC which is worth to buy as i see the amount of EC can also buy landed both of same year lease.

Dear Mr Koh,

Assuming you are eligible for maximum loan of 75% for the property purchase, the downpayment will be 5% minimum in cash with the balance 20% making up from CPF and/or cash.
Do take note that stamp duties will also be applicable for the purchase.

Which EC/condo are you considering now and comparing against which landed? This will be helpful information for us to provide any opinion with.

Do you plan to sell within the next 5-10 years an make money out from the sale?

Hi Roy,

Yes, for private property purchases, the maximum loan is capped at 75%, subjected to TDSR requirements. This means a 25% downpayment, out of which 5% has to be in form of Cash. The balance 20% can be in form off CPF.

The type of property you should go for will mainly depends on your family requirements. For example, it makes sense for large families to go for a landed property, as it offers space for everyone.
