Hi,

1) You have up to 6 months to dispose of your HDB upon key collection of your condo.
2) Dependent on the size of your newly bought condo, if it is around 500 units, key collection shall be stagged and take around 3 weeks to distribute at the most.
3) Thus you may use your key collection as a guide on the timeline.
4) Although you will need time for renovation on your new purchase, you may start your HDB marketing once you received a letter from the lawyer on the date of key collection.
5) Because the whole selling process without considering marketing takes about 3 months to complete. You have all the time you need for your renovation.

If you do not have cash flow problem , you can sell your hdb later , As in sell your hdb latest WITHIN 6 months AFTER collecting key to your condo .

If your hdb is popular and have many interested buyers , you can negotiate With your hdb buyer for 3 months extension stay in your hdb after the hdb sales completion , this extension stay if neccessary , can be used for Interim accommodation for younduring your condo Renovations.

Hi,

If you do not need the sale proceeds from the current HDB to fund the balance payments of the condo purchase, you can sell within 6 months of key collection to the newly TOP unit. Otherwise, it will be ideal to sell off the hdb 2 to 3 months before the TOP date is ready so the funds can come back in time to complete the balance payments.
