The nominees for the 9th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) 2019, have been revealed ahead of the gala dinner and awarding ceremony on 4 October.
Began in 2011, the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) is a highly regarded accolade with every stage of its judging process being supervised by third-party BDO, one of the world’s largest networks of auditing and accounting firms.
Included as nominees this year are former Best Developer titleholders Qingjian Realty (2018), GuocoLand Singapore (2017), Frasers Property Singapore (2014) and UOL Group Limited (2012).
Categories include new honours for Best Mega-Scale Condo Development, Best Heritage Development and Best Strata Housing Development.
The Private Condo category, meanwhile, was divided into Best New Private Condo Development and Best Completed Private Condo Development to recognise more quality projects for the segment.
Awards will also be given to Special Recognition in Sustainable Development, Special Recognition for Building Community, Special Recognition in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), Best Commercial Green Development, Best Residential Green Development, Special Recognition for Design and Construction and Best Universal Design Development.
Other awards include the 2019 Singapore Real Estate Personality of the Year and the Special Recognition for Public Facility.
Lim Wenhui, Partner at SPARK Architects, is again the awards chairperson for this year.
Joining her on the esteemed panel of experts are Greg Shand, Architect, Robert Greg Shand Architects; Carolina Fagnani, Senior Director, Development, South East Asia and Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group; and Kristin Thorsteins, Head of Development & Construction, South Asia & Pacific, Club Med.
Rounding up the list of the panel are Benendict Andrew Lim, Principal Independent Advisor, Independent Advisory; Chua Shang Chai, Partner, Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP; Joelle Chen, Programme Director, Beca; and Henry Woon, Director, Atelier Ten, CEng MCIBSE, MSc, BEng, LEED AP BD+C.
