The three MRT stations on the future Circle Line 6 include the Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward stations.

Catalist-listed Koh Brothers Eco Engineering Limited has secured a $225.4 million contract relating to the construction of the four-kilometre Circle Line 6 (CCL6).

The CCL6 comprises three stations which will close the loop for the Circle Line by linking to the Harbourfront as well as Marina Bay stations.

In an SGX filing on Monday (25 September), the firm said the contract involves “all civil, structural, architectural, electrical & mechanical and system works relating to the construction of cut-and-cover tunnels and other structures from the east of the planned Prince Edward station to the existing Marina Bay station”.

Set to be completed by 2025, works for the project will commence by end-2017.

“This is a significant win for Koh Brothers Eco, and a testament of the authorities’ confidence in our capabilities amidst the project’s challenges, including carrying out works in the densely populated Marina Bay area. CCL6 will also interface with the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System and other PUB sewerage works, which we are confident of navigating well given our familiarity and rich experience in civil engineering and drainage works,” said Paul Shin, CEO of Koh Brothers Eco.

“This project will add to our robust order book, which has been lifted to $696.9 million. We look forward to deliver yet another landmark project, with an emphasis on safety and productivity, as we continue to participate in Singapore’s development and growth.”

Koh Brothers Eco has been involved in various large-scale infrastructure and rail works, such as the civil works for the Downtown Line Bugis station and the construction of the Outram Park station on the North East Line. It was also involved in the construction of the Marina Barrage, which was completed in 2008.
