PropertyGuru has announced a star-studded line-up of guest speakers for its Singapore real estate summit, which takes place on 7 to 8 November at Marina Bay Sands. The theme this year is “Connecting Asia: Insights, innovation and evolving markets”.

More than 160 industry figures from Asia will explore a range of topics at the two-day summit such as property and technology (Proptech), the impact of China’s One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative, and market insights.

Among the speakers is renowned architect-planner and former Urban Redevelopment Authority CEO Dr Liu Thai Ker, who will deliver the opening keynote and share his views on urban development and responsible city planning.

JLL board director Shailesh Rao will cover the rise of Proptech. The digital expert is behind the development of some of today’s most-used digital products, including Google Maps and Google Earth.

Meanwhile, Oxford-educated author and former journalist Tom Miller will discuss the impact of China’s OBOR plan for businesses across Asia. The London-based Miller has spent more than a decade studying and living in Beijing, and has written two acclaimed books on China’s urban migration and New Silk Road empire.

The summit will be concurrently held alongside the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) gala dinner on 7 November, and the Grand Finals on 8 November, where the best in Asian real estate from more than 10 countries will be recognised at a black-tie event.
