HDB plans to launch a total of 16,900 new flats next year, spread across four quarterly Build-To-Order (BTO) exercises.
This will include 4,000 two-room flats to meet demand from singles and low-income families.
The first sales launch for the new year will be in February, and 3,940 flats in Bukit Batok, Geylang and Hougang will be offered.
In 2014, HDB launched 22,455 BTO flats for sale, surpassing its aim of 22,400 units.
The government decided to reduce the number of BTO flats for sale in 2015 by about 25 percent because the public housing market is stabilising, said National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan in a blog post in October.
In line with the reduced supply, BTO exercises will be held four times a year from 2015, compared to six times a year in the past few years.
Around 4,000 new flats will be launched at each BTO exercise.
