Dear Mrs Lim, good day to you. For hdb transactions, usual rates for sale is 2%+gst and for purchase is 1%+gst and. For Private property transations, usual rates for sale will be 2%+gst and for purchase side, buyers need not pay. Depending on the price that the agent can fulfil for you, everything is negotiable. There's no hard and fast rules. If the agent has done a great job in fulfilling the duties, you may also pay standard amount for the efforts placed in.
