What actions should I take as tenant when my landlord has refused to lower the TV volume despite HDB guidelines that the noise level should be minimal after 1030pm?
Main issue: Landlord has been blasting the TV so loudly every night until 11pm plus despite closing my room door. This noise is causing me a lot of frustration as I cannot sleep well or focus on my work. I have taken multiple video recordings and have spoken to her on three occasions but to no avail. Ive spoken to her neighbours and they have mentioned to me that they too find her very noisy. As a tenant paying 900/month to live in an HDB flat, I would expect that it is my right to enjoy some peace and quiet at least after 1030pm as per HDB guidelines. Ive signed a one year contracta and am very inclined to terminate because of this reason. Is this a viable option for me?
