We are planning to purchase an ec which will T.O.P in Q1 next year. I am starting to doubt that the agent is really knowledgeable and experienced in computing the financial commitments and advising us the right information for the ec purchase. I also feel he does not have client's interest at heart as he seems to be proposing for us to sell our current HDB flat at a lower price than the latest transacted price so we can sell it quickly.
In addition, he told us that we do not need to sign exclusive agreement with him to sell our HDB flat. When I asked him about his commission quantum, he said the norm is 2% but he can do lesser than that. Are these scenarios a legit cause of worry?
