Recently i signed tenancy agreement with our property agent. They charged us handling fee equivalent to 1 month rental to the Tenant upon successful tenancy agreement is signed. The rental is $3.9K, is it that less than $4k the property agent can charge to us? Where can I find guideline on this?

Hi Sally,

There is no guideline or standard for service fees to be paid. All these are boiled down to mutual agreement between all involved parties.

I usually charge my tenants 1.5months rental for units secured for them as it usually takes some time and a fair bit of work to secure the unit they like at the price they want.
