My lease with the landlord had already ended 2 years ago, however we continue the lease till this year. Recently the landlord had requested to take back the room for personal use hence I had a month to look for a new place. I had requested an additional week stay as I had a business trip and was unable to move my belongings to the new place. And I had previously suggested that she could deduct the additional 1 week stay from the deposit, however the landlord had demanded for another month rent. The landlord had remarked that this is the norm for all room rental. Is this true?
