IMHO, the main benefit (via one agent) for any sellers will be to get the highest price that's not far from the asking price.
Buyers (or their agents) will definitely negotiate lower than asking price. If they know it's an open listing, it's common for them to check with all your agents to see who can get them the lowest price.
All your agents, given this competition to sell it before the other, will have to market the lowest possible price to get the buyer via them.
End up, you'll be selling your unit at your lowest base price - because eventually all your agents will know what's your minimum price.
This point alone warrant all sellers to look at selling via one agent; even if you do not like to sign any exclusive agreement with the agent.
Having one agent can help get you the best price, especially if you give that agent a "performance-based" commission payout base on the final selling price.
Long answer to one point, but hope it helps sellers to understand it's really to your benefit, not ours ;)
