Is it mandatory/optional for tenants to use agent, I understand from my recent viewing that Landlord already using agent in his interest, & I am fine with his fair clauses. What additional benefits/saving (like better negotiation?) can Tenants' Agent add?

Hi, having an agent to assist you will definitely work for your benefit. Especially so when a dispute arises, you will find that you are all alone if you do not have one.

Good morning tenant,

It's not mandatory for you to engage a real estate salesperson to represent you in the tenancy but it will be good to have a professional to negotiate/ fight for the best rental for you, handle your paperwork/ inspect the legal documents, take care of your interest throughout the lease period. I will say more pros than cons.

If you need any assistance or advice in your property rental, feel free to contact me. Cheers!

Hi,

Having an agent representing you as the tenant can only benefit YOU!
The landlord agent will still nonetheless maximize the landlord agent by negotiating for the price that still falls within his buffer and comfortable rent. You may be short changed in the aspect where you could have gotten a better deal.
In crux, you agent will fight for you and to negotiate and get a better deal for you.

Furthermore, this is just one facet. Many people fail to realize that this agreement stretches for the entire tenancy period. Should any problem arise during the tenancy, landlord agent will tend to lean towards him and may not render full assistance to you, well, he is representing the other party as well.

Normally, as we have a wide networking, we can propose premium units and try to negotiate further due rapport.

Dear tenant,

As long as you are aware of the clauses involved in the tenancy and its consequences, you should be fine in not engaging the services of a salesperson for the tenancy. The main concern is about the competency of representing yourself, which at the beginning if you are already unaware of what can be done or not, are you taking a risk in doing so?

I have transacted a couple of rental representing the landlord directly with the tenants and all is fine.
