Dear Baldric, It takes hard work to excel in this industry. This is like a business where you need to spend time to work on to kickstart and develop your business model from there. If your objective is to earn additional allowance with the extra time you have out of your full time employment, the time could be better spent in other part time employment with regular salary as it does not necessary mean that you will earn the money as long as you spend the time doing viewings and all. I have came across full time salespersons who have not clocked more than $1000 sales in 1 year while salesperson clocking in more than $50k a month. There are several paths in real estate. In Huttons, you will start off doing sales in project launches, although you would still be able to do HDB, rental and private resale if you wish.
Over time, you could progress towards becoming a Group Leader and then to Project In-Charge, overseeing specific projects and working closely with the developer and agents towards success.
Another progression path is to become a Group Director and then to Division Director, where you will lead a group of associates.
