I'm current co-owner with my dad (bto hdb). i want to have my own space with my wife. So im the one whom paying for the house loan more then 5years. My dad already retired and no longer working.

may i check if i able to buy resale hdb even my wife is LTVP?

any advise or guidance

So what is going to happen to your dad in this case if you were to buy a HDB with your wife on LTVP and has to sell the current flat?

    I see, it is important to discuss among the family on this especially since older folk is involved and the sense of security they may feel lacking if their name in a property is removed. Have came across many older folks who are unwilling to sell or remove their names from existing property, fearing that they may end up not having a roof over their heads.

    Mostly likely my dad will stay at my elder brother house since they take care of elder brother children. But this is not concrete yet. Still in the mist of discussion. I just checking what option and guide i have.

Hi

You may purchase a HDB with your wife but the current house you owns either needs to be sold off or transfer to your father. If you choose to transfer the house to your father, your father must have the financial means to finance the outstanding loans along with refunding your CPF that has been used to financed the house principal plus accrued interest.
