I want to thank the guru expert and the agents who answered my enquiry reg whether I would lose my flat should my son buy a private unit for himself to live in, which I had posted on 14 Jan. Thank you, folks, for your help. Btw, I m a Singaporean divorcee. Hopefully, HDB will allow me to retain my flat (even though I had bought it under the family scheme, back then I did not understand the different schemes available, thought it was natural just to buy it under the family scheme for myself and my son) my son will fulfil the MOP requirement, and start looking for a private unit in Nov (MOP).
