Hi, like yourself, I have the exact same concerns/doubts/questions before i decided to resign from my job as a banker from Citibank and taking a leap of faith entering this industry.

I made a wrong choice previously by joining someone from another big agency who over-promised and under-delivered in the affirmation of my growth and learning and this is extremely common in this industry.

This is a career that requires intensive training from company and group level as well as personal support and guidance from your direct up line/mentor in order to accelerate your growth for you to have a good income. Of course, it would all still boil down to how hungry you are to succeed and to earn good money and your work ethics and attitude.

Most importantly, it is to join someone whom you trust and you know that will eventually contribute to your success.

I am from PropNex (7400~ agents), largest real estate agency in Singapore now and with Powerful Negotiators Group (PNG) which is also the largest group in PropNex with about 4000+ agents now.

In PNG, we have a structured and systematic training road map where the training is free. I have myself, proven that

Congratulations on passing your exams and getting ready to come on board this exciting industry.

I started off as a part time agent back in 2009, joining a big agency back then where I was very impressed with their suite of IT tools and training programs available for their associates. Results did not come my way to match the commitment and dedication I had put in back then, almost out for viewing every weekends and my free hours, with only 1 closing to speak of in the 12 months period I was with them, and with some issues too on the closing.

Fortunately, the passion for this industry did not wane after the 12 months, where I decided to join my current group, a much smaller but yet better focused group, where I picked up critical skills in this business, applicable not only in real estate industry but also in many walks of life.

I can only say, the chemistry you have with your immediate manager and group is critical in your business growth, but your commitment and dedication is likely the only reason whether you are able to do well or stagnate and be just a number to the agency.

Big agencies have good number of success stories to be spoken of, but there are even more stories where agents are not performing at all which no one wish to speak of.
