Hi,

If you are 35 years and above, there is no need to add in your parents names as occupiers because doing so will mean they have to sell their current flat. You can just use your sole name to purchase. The HDB loan amount is based on your income only in this case, and to qualify for hdb loan you need to earn 6k and below. Thanks and hope to assist with your plans further.

Morning,

Application under single scheme does not require you to add anyone as occupier if you are above the age of 35. If you are below that age or getting proximity grant, you can purchase resale unit under Public scheme where you are required to add your parent's name in the ownership or as essential occupier.

Good afternoon buyer,

Since you are purchasing under single singapore citizen scheme, you dont have to include any occupier in the application.

If you include your parents as occupiers, it will become public scheme and they have to sell off their HDB if they have any at the moment.

In addition as occupier, HDB or bank will not take their income into mortgage assessment.
